For Any Event

Club Ebony was built just after the end of World War II by Indianola entrepreneur Johnny Jones. Under Jones and successive owners, the club showcased Ray Charles, Count Basie, B.B. King, Bobby Bland, Little Milton, Albert King, Willie Clayton, and many other acts. When owner Mary Shepard retired in 2008 after 34 years, B.B. King purchased the venue to keep the Club Ebony tradition alive. Mr. King gifted the Club to the Museum.

DAY RATES:

$250 Member $450 Non-member

Day Rates are Sunday through Saturday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m (includes setup and breakdown time). Rates listed have a 2-hour minimum and 3-hour maximum.

NIGHT RATES:

$650 Member $830 Non-member

Night Rates are Sunday through Saturday from 5 p.m. – 12 a.m. (includes setup and breakdown time). Rates listed have a 2-hour minimum and 3-hour maximum.

Club Ebony’s Tables and Chairs:

• 10 tables and 40 chairs included

• Additional table and chair rentals available at $5.00/table $1.00/chair

• Tablecloths available at $10/cloth

Kitchen Use:

• $100 Members • $175 Non-members

• You are free to choose your caterer, but caterers utilizing the kitchen are to have a catering license on file provided by the rentee 14 days before their rental. All deliveries must be pre-approved.

Additional Information:

• Additional hours for both day and night events will be billed at $100 per hour.

• Decorating and setup time is limited to three hours before and one hour after the event at no additional charge; additional time for setup rate is $50 per hour.

• If your event will last a full day or multiple days, please contact the Museum regarding an extended rental rate.

• Discounted membership rates listed are based on the “King’s Band” sponsorship level of $250. Memberships may be purchased in the Lucille’s Gift Shop at the Museum or online at: bbkingmuseum.org/memberships

Notes:

• A $200 damage deposit is due at signing of contract and is completely refundable to lessee after the event, provided that the facility is left in the same condition it was in prior to the event and is not damaged. Any breach of contract will also result in the damage deposit becoming non-refundable.

• A 50% non-refundable depsosit is due at the signing of the contract. Space reservation will not be finalized until deposit is received. The balance of fees is due 14 days before the date of the event.

• If cancellation occurs within 30 days of rental date, the full amount will be due.

• Liquor can be dispensed ONLY at Club Ebony’s bar. The bar is only operated by Club Ebony Staff. Open a tab, pay in cash, or pay-in-full in advance.

Located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, the B.B. King Museum offers unique spaces for private and corporate events. Weddings, receptions, workshops, birthday parties, anniversaries, and family reunions are just a few occasions the Museum can accommodate.

• 40 Chairs and 5 Tables FREE

• $5.00 per table of the following types: (60 in) round tables; (6 ft) rectangular tables; (5 ft) rectangular tables; Pub-style tables

• $1.00 per metal folding chair

• Black table cloths are available to rent for $10 and chair covers for $3 each. Chair covers come in colors black, ivory and white.

Viking Kitchen Rental:

• $100 Members • $175 Non-members

Additional Rentals:

• Glass Chargers; clear with gold trim $9.00 per plate

• Plastic Chargers; clear, gold and black $1.00 per plate

• White Glass Plates; $6.00 per plate

• Wine Glasses; $5.00 per glass

• Silverware Sets (dinner knife, dinner spoon, dinner fork, salad fork and teaspoon); $3.00 per utensil

• Linen Napkins; $1.00 per napkin

AV/PA Equipment:

• $100 Members • $175 Non-members

SPACE/FEATURES NOT INCLUDED IN SPACE RENTAL RATES:

• Lucille’s Gift Shop entry after hours

• Exhibit entry without tickets

NOTES:

• A $50-$200 refundable deposit is required on all rentals. A 50% down payment is due at the signing of the contract. Space reservation will not be finalized until deposit is received. The balance of the rental is due two weeks before the date of the event.

• No burning candles are allowed in the Museum

• Birdseed and flower petals are allowed to be thrown in outside areas only. Any additional items are subject to the approval of the Museum.

• You are free to choose your caterer, decorator and entertainment, and alcoholic beverages may be served. All deliveries must be pre-approved.
